Investigators Looking Into Lexington House Fire

Fire investigators will look more closely into the cause of an early morning house fire in Lexington Wednesday.
A neighbor spotted smoke coming from a home along Sparks Road, off Liberty Road, around 2 a.m. There was nobody inside the house, and firefighters quickly put out the blaze. (More)...

Lexington Apartment Fire Under Investigation

An early morning fire Saturday at an apartment is still under investigation in Lexington.
It happened around 4:00 on Lakeshore Drive off Richmond Road. Firefighters were able to get the fire under control quickly and the damage was minimal.
So far, investigators don't know how the fire started.

Fire Burns Through Rockcastle County Home

Fire badly damage a vacant house in Rockcastle County Thursday night.
The fire was reported around 11:30 p.m. inside a home along Hubert Vanzant Road, just off I-75 at exit 59. Officials say a man inside the house knocked over a candle, starting the fire.
The man got out OK, but the house was reportedly damaged beyond repair.
