    ROWAN COUNTY, Ky (LEX 18) Dispatchers tell LEX 18 that several people had to be rescued from their homes on US 60 east in Haldeman on Friday. Following heavy rain, crews had to use boats to get to those whose homes were flooded. It was mainly in the Hamilton Road area. No injuries were reported.

The jury returned the verdict against 39-year-old Michael Fields, of Dry Ridge, after a two-day trial in Scott Circuit Court. Attorney General Andy Beshear said the jury recommended that Fields serve 2.5 years on each count consecutively for a total 10-year sentence. Fields must also complete a sex offender treatment program and register as a sex offender. ...

    HENDERSON, Ky. (LEX 18)-- In Western Kentucky, boat docks have been removed because of the river rising. The City of Henderson removed the docks and the Hays Boat Ramp because the levels are expected to rise in the next week. Boat ramps have to come out when the river gets above 22-feet to prevent them from breaking away. The city plans to reinstall the docks when the water levels recede.

    MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky (WPSD) The body of a former basketball star, Joe Ford Jr., was found in his SUV along I-24 in McCracken County. WPSD reports that Ford's wife reported him missing on Tuesday after she was unable to get ahold of him.  Ford played basketball and football at Mayfield High School before playing on the Vanderbilt Commodore men's basketball team in the 1970s.  This story will be updated.

    RICHMOND, Ky. (LEX 18) -- Routine headwall monitoring at the Blue Grass Army Depot showed signs of a vapor emission. The igloo contains the nerve agent GB. During the routine monitoring, crews discovered a vapor leak.  A filtration system is in place and operational. The agent vapor in the igloo poses no danger or risk to the citizens of Madison County or surrounding counties. The Madison County Emergency Management Agency was notified of the leak.

    PIKE COUNTY, Ky (EKB) Police are investigating after a body was found in a shallow grave in Pike County. EKB reports that a tip led to the discovery at a home on Turkey Creek Road in Belfry. Police have not said whether the body is that of a man or a woman. A man and a woman were arrested and taken to Pike County Jail but there's no word yet about what charges they may be facing.

Deputies said after an argument, Joseph Mills, 33, shot his wife, Shannon Mills, 34, before turning the gun on himself. It happened about 6:30 p.m. Tuesday on Hide-A-Way Lane. Both were taken to the hospital, but pronounced dead a short time later. The investigation continues.

Police say she stole more than a $1,000 worth of merchandise from several stores across town on multiple occasions. The Mount Sterling Advocate reports Jonathan French plead guilty to a tampering with evidence charge last week. He was accused of helping Bass Webb dispose the body of Sabrina Vaughn back in 2003. As part of the plea deal, the paper reports French will be sentenced to two years in prison next month.
