    CYNTHIANA, Ky. (Cynthiana Democrat) - Harrison County dispatch tells the Cynthiana Democrat that a man has escaped police custody. Gary Courtney walked away from the justice center Monday. He was there to face charges in a vehicle threat.  He was last seen wearing a gray jumpsuit, shackles and handcuffs.  If you have information on his whereabouts, contact police.

    LEXINGTON, Ky (LEX 18) Kentucky Utilities will be working this week on Arrowhead Drive in Lexington. Drivers should try to avoid the area Tuesday and Wednesday. It will happen during normal business hours.  Crews will be busy at KU’s substation on Arrowhead Dr. near Ritchie Court. This is part of KU’s ongoing long-term investment to improve reliability in central Kentucky.

Poynter, 30, was arrested Friday morning after an investigation, according to the Laurel County Sheriff's Department. According to officials, Poynter was was applying a tattoo to a female when he sexually abused the victim. Poynter was charged with first-degree sodomy and was being held in the Laurel County Detention Center.

    KNOX COUNTY, Ky (LEX 18) KSP has confirmed with LEX 18 that the body of a woman found near Swan Pond Baptist Church Sunday didn't have any trauma. A trooper said that they still cannot rule out drowning and they are waiting for the results of a toxicology report.  Reportedly the woman was lying in a drainage ditch that discharges into the Cumberland River.  The Knox County Coroner has identified the woman as Stacy Hobbs, 33, of Barbourville.
