Wolfe Co. Animal Shelter Asking For Donations To Help Sick Dogs

WOLFE COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — Officials with the Wolfe County Animal Shelter say they're angry after picking up two very sick dogs that were dropped off and left to fend for themselves. The two dogs, Bashful and Tripod, have very expensive vet bills, and the shelter is seeking donations from the community.

On August 8, 2018, Stidham, 38, was found shot to death inside a truck on the shoulder of the road. LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18)-- A woman is in jail Monday morning accused of stabbing a man in the shoulder over the weekend. It happened just before 1:30 a.m. Saturday on East Sixth Street. Police say 39-year-old Shaleisha Miller stabbed a man in the right shoulder with a knife, creating a one to one and a half inch cut. The victim tells police the stabbing was pre-meditated. The students (along with their trusty racehorses) got some physical activity as they ran the race. The first horse that crossed the finish line was named "Lightning." Fire Chief Charged With Theft, Abuse Of Trust

LAWRENCE COUNTY, Ky. (EKB) — The Fallsburg fire chief has been charged with theft and abuse of public trust. EKB reports here that 45-year-old William Hall of Lousia is accused of billing the Fallsburg Fire Department for his personal residential electric bills in a scheme that ran from March 2016 to May 2017. He is also accused taking cash and property worth more than $5,500. Hall faces misdemeanor theft charges and felony abuse of public trust charges in the case.
