LEXINGTON, Ky (LEX 18) A man was arrested after a child was hit by a vehicle on Mandalay Drive Thursday. Police say that around 5 p.m., a child around the age of 6 was hit by a vehicle. That child has non-life-threatening injuries and is expected to be okay. Police say that the vehicle left the scene, but officers were able to find the driver. He was arrested. The driver's name has not yet been released.

Fire Chief Charged With Theft, Abuse Of Trust

LAWRENCE COUNTY, Ky. (EKB) — The Fallsburg fire chief has been charged with theft and abuse of public trust. EKB reports here that 45-year-old William Hall of Lousia is accused of billing the Fallsburg Fire Department for his personal residential electric bills in a scheme that ran from March 2016 to May 2017. He is also accused taking cash and property worth more than $5,500. Hall faces misdemeanor theft charges and felony abuse of public trust charges in the case.

    ESTILL COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)-- One person is dead following a crash Wednesday night in Ravenna. It happened around 9 p.m. on 1571 or Millers Creek Road. Kentucky State Police say a vehicle crossed the center line and hit another car head on. The driver of the vehicle that crossed the center line was pronounced dead at the scene.  Police are not sure if alcohol is a factor. They are waiting to release the name until family is notified.
