We're continuing to track the changeover from rain to freezing rain to sleet to snow on the MaxTrack Live Doppler. On the north side of Lexington, we've now transitioned from sleet to snow. Snow has been occurring in most of northern Kentucky for a period of time already. Further south, freezing rain and sleet continue throughout much of southern Kentucky.
Roads have become treacherous in most locations- travel is not advised tonight. As we continue to go through the night the transition line between the precipitation types will continue to push south. The icing/sleet threat will transition to a snow and heavier snow threat.
Winds will be breezy and temperatures will continue to drop. Snow continues into the beginning of Monday. By Monday afternoon things come to an end, but temperatures will only be in the low 20s.
