Just before 1PM, a band of precipitation continues to press through the area. Where temperatures are below freezing from Danville to Fleming county, it's falling as freezing rain (pink). Further south and east, temps are above freezing still. Moderate to heavy showers and even thundershowers continue to track through the area.
There's some clearing in northern Kentucky behind this first wave of precipitation. Don't be fooled, later in the afternoon another wave of moisture will work in. At that point, freezing rain and sleet will be fair game. For the most part the snow holds off until the overnight hours. Ground temperatures thus-far in most locations are still well above freezing. This will not be the case by the evening. Expect deteriorating road conditions at that point.
