The last of the snow showers are winding down over our southeastern mountain counties and the deep freeze has settled in early Friday morning. It's in the single digits in northern Kentucky and Lexington, Frankfort and Danville are all at 10 frigid degrees with low to mid teens southeast. We had schools closings due to light snow yesterday and some of Friday's closings could very well be due to the bitter wind chill which is sub zero this morning. Wear layers, limit your time outside if you have to be at all and check out LEX 18 News at Sunrise to see how long this wicked cold hangs on.
