MOREHEAD, Ky. (AP) - A former Morehead State football player, a baseball record holder and a golf standout have been inducted into the school's Athletic Hall of Fame.
Golfer Wes Martin, All-Ohio Valley Conference football tackle Ernie DeCourley and baseball record holder Charlie Adkins were recognized for their achievements at a ceremony Friday night.
Martin was a member of MSU's first OVC golf championship team in 1973.
DeCourley ranked among the conference's top linemen during his two-year career at Morehead. He was named All-OVC in 1961 and 1962. He guided the Eagles to a conference co-championship.
Adkins, a four-year letter winner, recorded a 1.48 ERA in 1964, a school record that still stands. He posted a 12-8 career record and led the Eagles with 55 strikeouts in 1965.
