The first wave of strong thunderstorms has pushed into Ohio. Temperatures in the Bluegrass fell into the upper 60s and low 70s and are starting to rise again slightly. In eastern Kentucky, no rain has fallen and it is still very warm and muggy- temps are in the 80s.
We're tracking more rain to the west of the area that is tracking mainly north with a small easterly component. In addition, there's strong thunderstorms in central Tennessee that we're tracking as they push into Kentucky.
The tornado watch remains in effect until 8PM. The locations further east that have not seen rain yet will see a better chance for these storms to become strong to severe as the atmosphere is more unstable.
The threat for heavy rainfall remains until tomorrow morning. Rain totals could reach 2-4". A Flash Flood Watch remains in effect for the area.
