Doron Lamb knows he's going to be in the starting lineup Tuesday night against Kansas. He'll be right at home.
"I am excited to go back home and play in front of my friends and family. I am going to go out there and play a big game in the (Madison Square) Garden and all of my family is going to be there. I just hope we win the game tomorrow," said Lamb.
If need be, Lamb will fill in for Marquis Teague at the point as he did against Marist. He had eight assists and no turnovers in UK's first regular season game.
"I got better playing the point guard. I have worked on my game, ball handling, and protecting my dribble. I think I am ready to play point guard."
Lamb also knows that Kansas isn't Marist. Kansas isn't Transylvania. This will be a much more difficult assignment, whether he's playing the point or not. He also knows this could show the rest of the college basketball world that Kentucky is definitely for real.
"I think it should be a statement game. They are one of the top teams in the country and we have one of the best team in the country. So we have to go out there and play harder against Kansas and just try to beat them."
