We are in for a hot and steamy summer weekend! Friday kicks it off with an old cool front stalled across the Commonwealth that will slowly push north as a warm front late today into Friday night. Expect highs in the upper 80s again Friday with a few slow moving showers and storms firing in the heat of the afternoon. That front will have an impact in a few ways- it'll spark scattered showers and t-storms Friday night into Saturday and it will usher in even muggier air for the rest of the weekend.
Saturday and Sunday's highs will stay in the mid to upper 80s closer to 90 degrees Sunday with afternoon scattered showers and storms possible each day. If you have outdoor events planned this weekend it won't be a washout but you will want to keep your eye on the sky and have a plan B ready to roll! The heat will stay with us into early next week with highs in the low 90s.
