Emergency crews responded to a single vehicle accident on New Circle Road at Georgetown Road Monday morning.
Police say a pick-up truck crashed into a wall on the inner loop about 5:15 a.m.
Officers found the driver unconscious. He was transported to UK Hospital.
A witness said that it looked like the truck hit a patch of black ice before slamming into the median wall.
The inner loop of New Circle Road was blocked while crews cleared the accident. The road reopened by 6:30 a.m.
Officials have not released information on the extent of the driver's injuries.
