Two accidents along New Circle Road completely shut down the inner loop Thursday night.

Police say a car rear-ended an abandoned vehicle between Old Frankfort Pike and Leestown Road around 10:30 p.m. EMS took the driver to UK Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

As traffic piled up due to the first crash, a car ran into the back of another vehicle between Old Frankfort Pike and Versailles Road a short time later. Nobody was injured in that accident.

Police reopened the inner loop around 11 p.m.
