Police say Crystal Little has been robbing banks in Lexington for at least two years now, wearing the same outfit. She's managed to get away with every one of the robberies until Saturday.
Little was caught shortly after she came into the PNC Bank in the Tates Creek Shopping Center.
Little's description was one that has been all too familiar to police; "A female white wearing a pink toboggan, sunglasses, a surgical mask over her face and carrying a blue bag," says Lt. Chris VanBrackel, with Lexington Police.
Police say they've seen the same woman time and time again robbing Lexington banks. First it was a Forcht Bank on Southland Drive in June of 2010. Then a Fifth Third Bank on Euclid Avenue later in 2010. She was also caught on camera last August while robbing an American Founders Bank on Walden Avenue.
But at about 10:00 Saturday morning, a report of a woman with the same description robbing the PNC Bank off Tates Creek Road popped up. This time, officers got a good tip that led them to Little's home not far from the bank.
"We had some information and tips that led us here to Sugar Creek," says Lt. VanBrackel. "Officers did make contact with a female that lives there."
After taking the 29-year-old in for questioning, investigators say they were able to quickly link Little to the other robberies.
Crystal Little is being held in the Fayette County Detention Center.
