The saying goes, "you can't go home again." But I have! I was born and raised in Hancock County. After growing up in the western part of the state, I jumped across the Bluegrass to attend Eastern Kentucky University. At EKU, I was editor-in-chief of the award-winning campus newspaper, The Eastern Progress. I even wrote a humor column called "In Your Shoes" that put me to work cleaning dorms, milking cows on the university farm and cooking food in the cafeteria. After graduation, my television news career took me to wild and wonderful West Virginia. There, I worked at WVNS 59 News in Beckley for two years. It's the place I got my start on TV. It's the place I whitewater rafted for the first time. And it's where I learned to ski. (The last part is a lie. I've tried twice. Both times ended in failure.) The opportunity to move back to Kentucky came in 2009. And that's how I came home again. I am so glad to be back here. And I am thrilled to work for the station I watched everyday in college. I've also been a UK fan since I was a little kid - so living in the home of the Wildcats is a huge bonus.
