A flight attendant suffered minor injuries when lightning struck an airliner Thursday night.

Allegiant Airlines officials say the flight with more than 150 passenger on board was en route to Orlando when a bolt of lightning hit the plane around 9 p.m. Turbulence knocked the flight attendant off her feet.

The plane made a safe landing at Lexington Blue Grass Airport, and EMS took the flight attendant to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Nobody else was hurt.

Allegiant brought in another plane to take some of the passengers on to Orlando.
