Anderson County High School went into a soft lockdown Wednesday due to a community situation the police are involved with.
Police aren't saying much yet, but say they are looking for certain individuals and say the investigation has a connection to the school. They say it has to do with students in the school, not sure if it's custody or domestic situation.
The trouble began Tuesday. Police say nothing happened and there were no concerns then, but now they say they have a reason to lockdown.
A robo-call went out to parents informing them of the situation, and extra staff and police will be on hand when school lets out at 3 p.m.
All outdoor after-school activities at the school scheduled for Wednesday night have been canceled.
Police continue to investigate. LEX 18 has a crew at the scene and will have more details as they become available.
