Lexington police continue to search for a man who walked into a home, put a gun up to an elderly woman's chest and robbed the people inside Thursday night.
Margaret Fathergill, 75, says she was with her brother and her husband when a man armed with a gun walked into her home along Warfield Place and demanded money. She says the robber manhandled the men looking for their wallets, but she refused to give up her pocketbook, even after the man put a gun to her chest.
"If there'd been something there, I'd have been braver, I'd have knocked him in the head. I don't care," she said,
Police say the robber eventually left with hundreds of dollars, a cell phone and the home's cordless phone.
Nobody was injured.
The robber was described as a white man, 30 to 35-years-old, wearing a black toboggan, black T-shirt and black pants.
