Three men forced their way into a Richmond apartment and attempted to rob a man Thursday night.

Police say the victim reported that three men kicked down his front door and forced their way into his apartment along Foxhaven Drive around 11:30 p.m. and demanded money. Two of the men were armed with handguns. The victim managed to run outside and yell for help. A woman upstairs also yelled for help out her window.

The three men fled without getting any money or items.

Witnesses described the suspects as three white men, all tall and slender, wearing white ski masks and brown Carhartt jackets.

Nobody was injured during the robbery attempt.
