Lexington police arrested a man after he pulled a gun and forced his way into a woman's apartment Tuesday night.

Neighbors at the Downing Place apartment complex on Spangler Drive say the incident involved a woman who lives there and her ex-boyfriend. They say the man showed up at the complex around 11 p.m. When the woman told him to leave, witnesses say he pulled a gun and kicked down her door. He left without hurting the woman.

Police say they later found the man at another apartment and arrested him.

The whole thing left neighbors shaken.

"I wonder if it's a safe enough neighborhood for me to raise my child here, because there's a lot of stuff that goes on in Tates Creek - Downing Place in general," Kayla Farmer said.

Nobody was hurt.

Police have not released the suspects name, saying they have not completed the booking process. Police say they charged him with burglary and wanton endangerment. He may also face tampering with physical evidence charges.
