Kentucky State Police say that they have arrested a 19-year-old Bourbon County man in connection with the disappearance of a 14-year-old Lawrenceburg girl.
Police arrested Brian T. Jones on Tuesday afternoon and charged him with kidnapping and sexual abuse. Investigators say Jones met the 14-year-old on MySpace.com in the summer of 2009.
The Anderson County girl disappeared Sunday, Dec. 6. Police located her on Monday morning in Bourbon County after receiving an anonymous phone call reporting her location.
Jones was lodged in the Bourbon County jail. The girl is back home.

What people do not understand is the parents use the internet and tv as a babysitter kids can do whatever they want as long as they leave mom and dad alone. however a 19 year old has no business messing aroung with a 17 year old
much less a 14 year old she is still a child and he should no better in my book he is a child molester and should get the maximum period.

I cannot help but wonder if her parents monitor her internet usage. Part of the problem with youth's shortcomings are lack of parental involvement. Sure teens need space to grow and learn, but somethings just need supervision. I have two daughters and neither one of them get on I-net without supervision, nor are they allowed to talk to anyone they don't know. As for the suspect, is it kidnapping when the girl ran away from home? I can see that being the case if the suspect refused to let her leave, but she was spotted by someone, while with him. I see a bleak future for both of these individuals, if they don't get a grip. Both obviously need help. Young man, I hope all your effort in commiting this crime was worth the punishment and reputation that you now have to face.

I think the girl should be held also! I had a younger daughter at one time and they make their own choices no matter how much you talk to them. I agree the boy should pay for his crime because he should know better. On the other hand my daughter would always say she was older and that is probably the case here.

been there,
I can see from your statement about your dislike of your on child that you should withhold judgment of others before considering others guilt or innocence, especially a minor.
Wow you truly are impresive!!!!!
