An assistant manager at a Bob Evans restaurant in Madison County has been arrested in connection with theft that was reported back in September 2011.

On Monday, police arrested Sean K. Crabtree, 40, of Waco. Back in September, a representative of Bob Evans restaurant reported that a substantial amount of many had been stolen from the restaurant, located in Richmond, on the previous date. During the subsequent follow-up investigation, it was determined that Crabtree, an assistant manager, had stolen approximately $2539.96 and fled the state.

In October, the investigating RPD detective obtained a warrant for Crabtree's arrest, charging him with theft by unlawful taking under $10,000.

On Monday, Crabtree surrendered himself at the police station and is being held in the Madison Coumty Detention Center.
