The Scott County Sheriff's Department is looking for a man in connection with an attempted abduction at a Scott County truck stop.
Police say a man attempted to abduct a woman at gunpoint about 3 a.m. at the Pilot Travel Center at the 129 mile-marker on I-75 in Scott County. She escaped unharmed.
The suspect left in a stolen car that police later found. A man police call a co-conspirator identified the suspect, who had fled on foot.
Investigators are looking for Nathan Earl Pierce, 38. He is a white male, 5-foot-11 and weighs about 135 pounds. He has short brown hair, blue eyes and a beard. He was last seen wearing a tan Carhart jacket with a hood, black jeans, a black ball cap with a grey bill and brown boots.
Police say Pierce is armed with a .380 handgun and is considered dangerous.
