West Liberty Elementary School students will return to classes Monday for the first time since a twister destroyed their school earlier this month.
On Sunday, students and parents got a tour of the temporary school, set up in converted warehouse space. West Liberty Elementary School principal Vicki Oldfield welcomed them one-by-one to tour the new school.
"We wanted to restore to as much normalcy for the students as soon as they walked in the door," Shanna Hill-Jones, a teacher at the school said.
Andrea Keaton's child goes to the school. She said getting the kids back to class helps the healing process.
"Get some normalcy back in their lives, especially the ones that lost their homes. It will be good," she said.
