MIDDLESBORO, Ky. (AP) - A southern Kentucky constable who pleaded guilty to stealing charitable bingo proceeds has resigned from his post.
The Middlesboro Daily News reports Jesse James Hall stepped down on Thursday as a Bell County constable and Judge-Executive Albey Brock appointed Richard Dunn to the position.
Hall and his wife, Juanita Hall, entered guilty pleas to 10 counts last year and are scheduled to be sentenced next month.
