A Flash Flood struck the Madison County town of Berea Tuesday afternoon. We received a few reports of over 5 inches of rainfall that fell in just a couple of hours sending Silver Creek and other streams into flood.
The most dramatic pictures came from near the intersection of I-75 and Ky 595 where the accompanying picture was taken. There were water rescues and teachers and staff were temporarily trapped in the Berea Independent School by the flooding.
There have been no damage estimates yet, but they'll be out in the coming days.
