A Madison County man has been arrested and charged with 95 counts of possession of child pornography.

Attorney General Jack Conway and his Cybercrimes Unit on Friday announced the indictment and arrest of Ricky L. Fansler, 42, of Berea. Fansler is charged with 95 counts of possession of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor, a Class D felony.

The Madison County Sheriff’s Department arrested Fansler on Wednesday follow an investigation that began in December 2009. A search warrant was executed at Fansler’s residence in March.

Fansler is being held in the Madison County Detention Center on a $50,000 full cash bond.
