Bianca joins the LEX 18 news team after more than two years working for the Charlottesville Newsplex in Virginia. She graduated from the University of Virginia, and got her start in broadcasting in the city where she went to college.

As a general assignment reporter, Bianca covered the issue of domestic violence and women's safety on college campuses. She also covered politics in central Virginia, including Tea Party movements, a Barack Obama rally in 2008, and the recount that made a Democrat the Representative of the typically Republican 5th District.

While covering the record-breaking snowfall in 2010, Bianca did a story about a pet shelter whose roof collapsed under the weight of heavy snow. A construction company saw the report, and built a new outdoor shelter for free so the dogs would have a home again. Bianca always enjoys telling stories that make a difference in the community.

Bianca is excited to begin a new chapter of her life here in the Bluegrass. Growing up she dreamed of riding horses, but, alas, it was not to be. Instead she became a competitive year-round swimmer, and to this day she loves the ocean and swimming laps. Bianca was an English major in college, so in her spare time she tries to read a good book at least once a month. She'd love to hear any suggestions on what she should read next!
