He's Ramel.
"Be smart." says Ramel Bradley. "Be smooth. Be you," says the former UK star.
Bradley made a pit stop in Lexington after finishing another season in France playing ball.
"Everything went good. I was in France. I had a good season, but I'm happy to be home. It feels good to be back in our country."
John Wall, as great of a season that he had at Kentucky, might not have realized that he developed fans all over the world.
"Every game that was on ESPN I watched. It came on pretty late over there, but I stayed up to watch it. Amazing. I had to watch everything I could."
Bradley has always kept his eye on point guards. When you toss a softball question, have you ever seen any in college that were better, Ramel smiles.
"Not too many, and if it was, it was probably from Kentucky.
Of all the Cats last season, and as much as he likes Wall, there is another guard that really caught his eye.
"I really like Bledsoe. Out of all the guys, he's my personal favorite. I like the way he plays. His whole attitude.
"I just like Bledsoe because he just reminds me of me. I played like a fiery like, the whole thing. Every time I see him he's mad. He doesn't back down. I just love his game."
To Patrick Patterson.
"I was really proud of Pat. In three years, his whole game matured. He graduated. I'm really proud of him."
To DeMarcus Cousins. Bradley would love to play with him.
"I love Cousins. He's mean. He plays with an attitude. Everybody kind of criticizes him for that, but I love it. Big guys are supposed to be mean. I love the attitude."
NBA executives look for tough big men who can score.
"As long as the players are scared of him, that's all that matters. Every big guy that he's got to play, if they are scared of him, that's good. Off the court he's a great guy so I don't see what the problem is."
To Ramel and his future. When he played at UK, he used to talk about becoming the Mayor of New York City. He's smiling and on a roll.
"Of course. Of course I do. I'm about to run, pretty soon. So, tell everybody from Kentucky to vote for me. Just move to the city and then vote for me."
As far as his basketball career, Bradley has two plans. First for next season.
"I'm pretty sure I will be going back overseas, but I'm not sure where. But as far as basketball, I'm on a one year plan. I'm trying to get everything in order, so by next summer I'll be ready to sign a contract here in America. Reach some of those goals and dreams that those guys did."
Those guys are the players he competed against when he played at UK who moved on to the NBA.
"It's not frustrating because things are going good overseas. I'm happy. I would just say it's a goal of mine. It's a goal and a dream so I just want to see it come true. I'm pretty confident it will."
Bradley remains one of the most confident Cats.
"Well, I'm from Brooklyn. You have to be confident."
