RICHMOND (AP) - The Blue Grass Army Depot is planning to sound its sirens during a regularly scheduled training exercise.

The depot, located in Richmond, says residents of Madison County may be able to hear the sirens Wednesday but should not be alarmed.

Blue Grass Army Depot is one of five Army installations in the United States that stores chemical weapons. Also stored there are conventional explosives.

A weapons destruction building is being constructed at the depot that will be used to destroy the 523 tons of nerve and mustard gas munitions housed there.
