A body has been found in the area where crews were searching for a missing Fleming County teen, though officials have not yet confirmed that the body is that of the teen.

Officials say a body was found at the bottom of a quarry at about 1 p.m. Tuesday. Ricky Hamilton, 15, has been missing since Saturday, when he was reported missing after going hunting with his father. Search crews combed an area off of Route 156 south of Flemingsburg.

Volunteers from seven different counties participated in the search, riding ATVs, climbing ravines, cutting their way through brush. Those search crews were called off after the body was discovered.

Search crews called it a night Monday when the sun set, and then picked up the search Tuesday morning. A bloodhound was also brought in to help with the search.

State police and sheriff's deputies are also involved in the investigation.
