Body Pulled From Submerged Vehicle

One person is dead after a driver crashed their car into a pond early Saturday morning in Louisville.

It happened around 4:00 Saturday morning on Fegenbush Lane near Bay Harbor Drive. When police got to the scene, they say they found a man's body in the car.

The driver's name has not been released. Police have not said whether or not they suspect alcohol as a factor. People in the area say they heard something wrong and called 911.

"I talked to 911 until the EMS and police came and then fire trucks came. You could just hear a loud scream. After the scream I heard a boom and another boom, that's when it landed in the pond," says Quenise Simon, a witness.

Only one person was in the vehicle. No word yet on how fast he was driving, but pieces of a fence were found, tossed into nearby trees from the impact.
