Bond Reduced For Trucker Accused In Accident That Killed Two Workers

Bond has been reduced for a South Carolina trucker accused of killing two workers on an eastern Kentucky road earlier this year.

The Appalachian Express says that even if Arthur Davis manages to make bail, the judge would order him to remain on house arrest in Pike County.

The incident happened on March 29 on KY Route 1499 in the Mouthcard community around 8:30 a.m. Police say Kevin D. Jones, 32, of Dorton, Ky. and Paul Williamson, 20, of Harold, Ky. were placing work signs along the road to warn motorists of tree trimming when the collision occurred. Both men were pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say Davis, 44, of Blackwood, South Carolina was arrested and charged with No Operators License, No Commercial Operators License, Log Book Not Up To Date, and Radar Detector in Commercial Vehicle.
