Bowling Green Police Officer Fatally Shoots Man

BOWLING GREEN (AP) - Kentucky State Police are investigating a fatal shooting involving a Bowling Green police officer.

Police told the Daily News that Officer Keith Casada Jr., 2-year- veteran, fired his weapon after the "highly intoxicated" man started to approach officers early Sunday and refused to follow commands, keeping a hand behind his back.

Trooper Jonathan Biven said officers were called to the scene by the man, 46-year-old Gregory H. Harrison, who told a dispatcher that he was going to "kill his brother." He said he was in a parking lot with a gun.

Casada has been placed on routine administrative leave while the investigation proceeds.
