Boxing champ Floyd Mayweather Jr. announced Tuesday that he plans to donate $100,000 to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure's Southern Nevada affiliate to help battle breast cancer.

The announcement came just 12 days after a Las Vegas judge deferred a 3-month jail sentence on domestic violence charge so Mayweather can fight in a bout at the MGM Grand against an undetermined opponent.

According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, "Justice of the Peace Melissa Saragosa granted the request by Mayweather's attorney, Richard Wright, who contended that the Cinco de Mayo fight would be worth "more than $100 million" to the Las Vegas community."

Many in the boxing world are pushing for a bout between Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao, considered two of the best boxers in the world.
