Police tell LEX 18 a woman was in a fatal accident involving a fire engine.

It happened around 10:30 in the area between Main and Vine.

Lexington Fire Battalion Chief Ed Davis tells LEX 18 a pedestrian was struck and killed while crossing Broadway.

Police say the circumstances surrounding the accident are still under investigation.

The woman's name has not been released.
