UK football coach Rich Brooks, as expected, received two more commitments from Georgia for next season.
According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, linebacker Jabari Johnson and tight end Ronnie Shields are the second and third players from the same school, Stephenson High School in Stone Mountain, Georgia, who are moving to Lexington.
Raymond Sanders, an underrated, short running back who is gaining a lot of attention this season at Stephenson, committed to UK this summer. He is being asked by other schools to say no to UK and yes to them, but says he is firm on his desire to wear blue.
There could be fourth player from Stephenson committing to UK. Cornerback Chris Sharpe also has a scholarship offer. Louisville is also recruiting Sharpe.
Shields, a 6-foot-5, 215-pounder who also lines up outside at wide receiver, is probably the biggest surprise. He was a late bloomer. UK offered a Thursday, and he quickly committed. Shields was also being courted by Louisville and New Mexico, as well as some schools in smaller conferences.
Depending on how Shields grows, he could end up being a tight end or wide out. Johnson, whose 6-foot-3 and 215 pounds, is expected to stay at linebacker.
