Lexington Police say a bullet flew into a trailer early Tuesday morning, narrowly missing a child sleeping inside.

Police got the call from a trailer on West Loudon Avenue just before 1 a.m. Police say a woman inside heard several gunshots nearby and then noticed the bullet fly in through her ceiling.

Investigators found a bullet that they retrieved from the home just a few feet from where a child was sleeping.

There were no reports of any injuries.
