A burglar drove a vehicle right out of a Georgetown auto shop early Thursday morning, leaving a big hole and trail of glass behind.
An officer noticed the damage at Bumper 2 Bumper Auto Care on North Water Street around 1:30 a.m. Investigators found a side door pried open. There was also a broken window.
Police say the shop was holding the missing SUV because the owner never paid the bill. The vehicle is a black 1998 Chevy. It may have a broken back or side window.
The owner's last known address was in Lexington.
