Police say an alarm scared a burglar away from a Lexington daycare, but not before a video camera captured his image early Thursday morning.

Police say the suspect broke a front window at the Big Blue Bird Day Care on Eastland Parkway around 12:30 a.m. He rummaged around inside and fled out the window when the alarm sounded.

Police brought in a K9 unit to search the area, but the dog didn't pick up a scent.
