Police are investigating vandalism and a burglary at the Kentucky State Transportation Cabinet facility in Lexington

Police say somebody broke windows out of at least five state vehicles at the facility on New Circle Road, near Newtown Road, overnight. Workers discovered the damage Tuesday morning. One fuel tank was punctured as well.

Burglars also broke into the materials laboratory building. Doors were pried off cabinets, and a TV, tools and soda were stolen. An employee says the thieves even took Chinese food he was planning on eating for breakfast.
