A burning vehicle created quite a mess along I-64 in Fayette County, just prior to the Clark County line, early Thursday morning.
A camper burst into flames along westbound I-64 near mile marker 87 around 3 a.m. Firefighters quickly put out the blaze, but water from firefighting efforts froze on the pavement, creating a slick mess. Officials shut down westbound lanes for about an hour as crews cleaned up.
The blaze destroyed the RV.
The interstate is back open, but motorists should still use caution in the area and watch for slick spots.
