UK basketball coach John Calipari, who has been rumored to be interested in an NBA job, said emphatically Friday that he will continue as coach of the Wildcats next season.
"I want to address this with the Big Blue Nation one last time," said Calipari in a post on his twitter account. "I will be coaching at Kentucky next year. Now let's finish what we started!"
Calipari continued, "I've said many times that I've got the best job in the country. Still the speculation runs wild and I can't stop that."
Rumors had Calipari possibly interested in coaching both the Chicago Bulls and New Jersey Nets, and that he wanted to coach NBA MVP LeBron James, a good friend who will be a free agent next season and is widely expected to leave his current team, the Cleveland Cavaliers.
