A suspicious fire engulfed a car in Lexington early Wednesday morning.

The car was parked along Robertson Street, off Versailles Road, and the blaze started sometime around 3 a.m. Neighbors say the passenger door was open and the car's stereo was found lying on the ground. The owner says somebody recently stuck a candy bar in the gas tank.

Officials say a fire inspector will come out to investigate later Wednesday morning.
