A dive team was dispatched after a car was spotted in a Lexington pond Wednesday morning.

Officials say a passerby spotted the vehicle in a pond along Harrodsburg Road in front of the Firebrook subdivision around 7:45 a.m. The the doors of the car were closed, but the trunk and windows were open. It didn't appear anybody was inside the car, but a dive team is preparing to go in and check it out.
