Kentucky leads Kansas 41-27 at halftime of the National Championship.
The Wildcats dominated the first half and led by as many as 18 points, despite a scoreless first half from Anthony Davis.
Even with their star player missing all four of his shots, the Cats never missed a beat. Doron Lamb scored 12 points and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist added 11 points.
Despite not scoring, Davis made his presence felt. He blocked threee shots, breaking the NCAA freshman single season record, and pulled down a game-high 9 rebounds.
After being out-rebounded by Louisville 40-33 in its National Semifinal win, Kentucky won the battle of the boards in the first half, 25-14. UK held Kansas to 33 percent shooting in the first half while shooting 53 percent from the field.
