The Johnson County coroner tells LEX 18 that the couple found buried on their farm in late February died from "blunt force trauma."

The discovery of Larry and Sandy Blanton's bodies ended a five-month long search for the two, who were reported missing in September 2012.

Early on, investigators named the couple's son, Willie Blanton a "person of interest." His girlfriend, Amanda Fannin eventually signed a plea agreement, meaning she cannot be charged and that, if found guilty, Willie Blanton cannot be sentenced to death.
