A Pulaski County woman is no longer in trouble with the law for owning a monkey.
LEX 18 brought you the story last month of Tamela Collins, who got "Kenzy" for her autistic son. She sent the monkey away to Tennessee after realizing it was illegal to have such an animal in Kentucky.
Collins' lawyer said Wednesday that the case has been dismissed and the charges dropped, including felony tampering with physical evidence.
Collins is still dealing with another case involving her landlord, who evicted her for violating the pet policy.
LEX 18 has also learned that Kenzy is alive and well living in North Carolina.
