Police in Madison County said that a child was removed from a home before a meth lab was reported.
The meth lab was found at a home on Catalpa Loop Road near Lake Reba Monday afternoon. Kentucky State Police say Child Services removed a child from the home Tuesday before police say an active one-step "shake and bake" meth lab was discovered in the basement of the home Monday.
It all started when a Kentucky State trooper went to the home Monday to serve a warrant on previous drug trafficking charges. He got consent to search the house and said he found the meth lab, which police say was made earlier in the day. An investigator in a protective suit cleaned it up.
Three women who were in the home, including Carmela Gibson, were arrested Monday afternoon.
