A Clark County woman accused of murdering her daughter and granddaughter made a court appearance Thursday.
Lillie Stanton is accused of stabbing her daughter, 23-year-old Danielle Korey Stanton and her granddaughter, one-year-old Kaydence Ray Miers at her home.
During Thursday's hearing, Stanton was informed that the prosecution is considering seeking the death penalty in the case, but that Commonwealth's Attorney Thomas Smith hasn't decided yet.
Police say Stanton confessed to killing her daughter and granddaughter, saying it would prevent a nasty custody battle involving her granddaughter.
A pre-trial conference is scheduled for March 14, and the prosecution will likely decide by then if they will seek the death penalty in Stanton's trial.
