Ingredients
1 1/3 cups flour
1 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
9 tablespoons unsalted butter, room temp.
1 3/4 cups lightly packed light brown sugar
1 1/4 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 large eggs, room temp.
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Directions
Preheat oven to 350. Lightly grease a 9X13 inch baking pan with butter. Blend the flour, baking soda,and salt in a small bowl. In a medium sized bowl, using an electric mixer on Medium speed, cream the butter,sugar and vanilla until light and fluffy, about 2 minutes. Add the eggs and mix for for 1 minute. Add the flour mixture and mix on Low speed until almost blended. Add the chocolate chips and walnuts and mix on Low for 10 seconds. Spread the batter into the pan and bake for 30 minutes. They will remain very gooey inside. Cool for 30 minutes in the pan on a rack before cutting.
